Truth be known, I carry this in my trunk and have not officially used it yet. I test it occasionally and it performs flawlessly. It's bright, has a long power cord, highly visible and the functions cycle seamlessly. We had a huge storm here a couple years ago... Downed trees, power transformers and debris littered the streets over a large area. Our CERT was activated and we were asked for volunteers with Hi-Viz light bars to block streets and intersections where hazards exist till crews could get there to clear the obstructions/hazards... I couldn't volunteer 'cause I didn't have a light bar.... Wait till the next storm comes..... I'm gonna be seen from outer-space. Be Prepared.

Magnet seems strong but I have only used it in stationary setups and driving sub 50 MPH so i'm unsure on its ability to hold on during highway speeds. the multi modes are great for changing up strobe patterns and it is easy to use. Strobe pattern will save on whatever the last one was that was selected when the light loses power.

Being a Firefighter I was looking for something small that would fit on my wife's small SUV. However I didn't want to spend the money on an expensive unit like on my truck. This has far surpassed my exceptions to the point I have bought another one to put on my new truck. it is brighter, and more functional then my over priced light. This light has functioned in 46 below zero weather, hard rain and snow, ice and the hot summer weather. the multi setting lets me chose the pattern that is proper for busting traffic, or parked on the highway to single a stopped unit, or if i just need it to flash to the rear or front. Other guy in my department has also gotten this very unit. Thanks guys for a great product

simply the best light out there of all the magnet lights, top notch product!

I've order two of these and they work very very nice. Visibility is outstanding about one mile. I use them to plow snow day a night. The Highway department is very impressed and has said they wished every one would use this type of safety equipment. Derrick Preston

Install Flash Player Picked this up in amber for snow plowing this winter. Had some concerns about the magnet strength and other reviews of it coming off while driving. Sure enough the instructions state not to exceed 40 mph. Pretty pointless being stuck traveling just neighborhood roads. I ordered new magnets right away with plans to swap them in. No way to do this without destroying the light assembly the way it’s designed if you want to bolt the magnets on. So I decided to test the stock magnets, slowly increasing speed. I did this several times, in different weather conditions. Happy to announce I am able to travel the 70mph highway without it budging. I drive this highway daily as well. As far as light output goes, it’s decent. I can see it during the day and no issues with it at night. It is definitely not as bright as much higher end light bars, but it’s fine for my use. So the value for me is amazing. I do plan to upgrade to a fixed light on a headache rack next year, but for now, this is perfect! I have run it a ton so far while parked in the road working on cutting, landscaping, and fall cleanup’s. No issues yet over the last week, in typical Wisconsin weather over the last week.... hot, rain, snow, warm again, rain, more snow, and now warm again.

This model appears to have seen some improvements since the original reviews; it uses a straight rather than curled cord now, and remembers your flashing pattern after you turn it off so that it resumes when you turn it on again. Unfortunately my unit arrived with 3 defective LEDs adjacent to each other. They don't significantly affect the overall functionality of the unit, but I am worried about its long-term reliability. It's otherwise sturdy and the magnetic mount holds well. The cord is long enough to reach the DC adapter in my center console, making it easy to turn off/on and change the flash pattern. UPDATE 2/8/2017: The marketplace vendor that sells these reached out to me to see if there was anything he could do to improve my satisfaction with this product. As a result, I've been sent a new unit that is defect-free. I've adjusted my rating accordingly; this seems to be a very good value and the seller stands behind it.

I needed a unique way for friends to be able to to find my vehicle quickly in a giant crowd of people, so this light worked perfectly. I thought the red and blue colors might cause problems with impersonating a 911 vehicle, and the yellow light blends in with construction and warning signs at events, so I bought the green light and it was absolutely perfect for my use. It has lots of different strobe and flashing settings and the LED lights are super bright. Friends told me they could see my vehicle's neon green flashing light from over a quarter mile away on the other side of the event area. When I was driving through the underground passenger pickup area of the airport, I turned the light on and it literally lit up the entire lower deck of the airport with a bright green glow as it reflected off the concrete walls. I plugged it into my vehicle cigarette lighter and ran the cable through my sunroof and it worked great. I didn't drive fast with the light on my roof but the magnets seem pretty strong and could probably handle normal driving. Great choice if you need a super bright light for your vehicle.

I use this light on top of my UTV when I have to be on the side of the road mowing etc. It is very bright even on a bright sunny day. You will still be noticed. The magnets hold good for the UTV as it doesn't go very fast but I can't speak for how they hold for any descent road speed. The flash patterns are nice and I like that it holds the pattern you select for the next time you turn it on.
